Death God Restaurant

Death God RestaurantDeath God Restaurant, where Death Gods carry human souls away!

It’s time to move on to less tech-y things and read some horror shorts about the elusive Death God.  If you aren’t familiar with modern Japanese horror or fantasy stories, you might be taken aback at what exactly a Death God, or shinigami, is and what it does. According to Dictionary.Sensagent, a shinigami “死神, “death god” or “death spirit” is an entity in Japanese folklore that is responsible for seeing that a person dies at their appointed time and then guiding their spirit to be judged in the afterlife.”

As I translate the stories in this next book, I hope to get a clearer idea of what role Death Gods potentially play in the spectrum of human life and how they interact with other supernatural creatures.
